Swim Lessons

Brody has been taking swim lessons all summer. Last week he graduated - YEAH! He loves the water!

Corn Fest 2009

Several years ago Frank read an article in USA Today and it listed The Adel Iowa Sweet Corn Festival as one of the best in the United States. Since that time we try to make it to the Corn Fest every couple of years. This year we went with both sets of grandparents. It was VERY HOT but we still had fun and of course the corn was excellent! Other big news ... Brody finally took one step on his own. I think we are close -- up until this point he has had no interest in walking! :-)

A day at the Zoo...

We had family in town last weekend so Brody and his cousin Brecken got to spend lots of quality time together (sorry for all the hair pulling, Brecken:-)! We went to the zoo and had such a great time. This was Brody's first trip to the zoo and he really liked it! His favorite was the prairie dog's, they started to fight and play and Brody started to giggle watching them. Unforunately I didn't get any pictures of Brody and his cousin Brecken!

Big Brother...

Yep, it is true. Brody is going to be a BIG BROTHER! I am 12 weeks pregnant, due Jan. 26, 2010. We are super exited!!

Brody has had a great summer so far -- can't believe it is July already! Here are some highlights from the summer...

Father's Day

First Haircut!

Brody got his first professional haircut yesterday. I have cut it at least 5-6 times but It was getting very shaggy so we decided it was time for a professional. He did great. Played with his toys and the ladies entertained him. He looks so much older now!

Brody's Birthday Weekend!

Brody's first birthday party was on Saturday and a huge success! We had so much fun celebrating and thank you to all our family and friends who joined us. Brody really enjoyed all the extra attention he received from grandparents, cousins, friends etc. He especially enjoyed hangin' with the big boys, his cousins Spenscer and Brok. He also got to spend time with his cousin Brecken -- they went to the park and rode in the wagon together. Today it was just Brody and I and I think he was bored! :-) We took almost 200 pictures throughout the weekend so it was hard to choose what photos to post. Enjoy!
